Walker Notches Season Low in Second Day of MAC Championships

Day Two Results
NASHPORT, Ohio – After an early rain delay, the Bowling Green men's golf program completed the third round of the 2017 MAC Championships Saturday afternoon at the Virtues Golf Club with a team score of 293,+5. The mark places the Falcons ninth with a three round total of 902, +38 heading into the final day of play.
Senior Jose Narro continues to lead the Falcons in the second day with a third round score of 73, +1. The Tampico, Mexico native currently sits in a tie for 11th overall with a total score of 220, +4, met by tallying 10 birdies and 30 par scores thus far in the tournament. Narro also leads the Falcons by averaging 4.58, -5 strokes on par 5 scoring.
With a total score of 224, +8, sophomore Trey Walker is currently tied for 16th overall. The Bowling Green, Ohio native carded a season-best round of 72, E in today's third round and has accumulated 10 birdies and 27 par scores on his way to averaging a team-best 3.17, +2 average on par 3 holes.
Sophomore Pablo Heredia Iglesias is the third Falcon to sit in the Top-25 by a total score of 226, +10. A native of Sevilla, Spain, Iglesias lowered his score for the third consecutive round by carding a 73, +1 in today's play. Iglesias has also notched seven birdies and a team-leading 32 par scores through the first three rounds of action, in addition to averaging a leading 4.58, -5 strokes on par 5 scoring.
Also dramatically improving his score in the third round was redshirt sophomore Max Rispler, who marked a score of 75, +3 in today's action, shaving five strokes off of his second round score. The Grand Rapids, Mich. native holds a three-round total of 233. +17 by a Falcon-high 12 birdies and 24 pars.
Rounding out the Bowling Green lineup is senior Brett Rinker, who holds a two-day total of 234, +18. With five birdies and 30 par scores, the Slippery Rock, Pa. native improved on his third 18-holes of play by four strokes to card a low round of 75, +3 in today's action.
Kent State currently tops the leaderboard by a three-round score of 860, -4, while the Miami's Patrick Flavin took over the top of the player leaderboard with a score of 207, -9.
