Suder Named MAC East Special Teams Player Of The Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Jake Suder, a redshirt-junior kicker on the Bowling Green State University football team, was named the MAC East Special Teams Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday (Sept. 11). Suder, after being put on scholarship during fall camp, has yet to miss a field goal this season.
Suder (Toledo, Ohio) went a perfect 4-for-4 on field goal attempts in Bowling Green's home opener last Saturday versus South Dakota, tying a Doyt L. Perry Stadium record for made field goals in a single game. Suder made field goals of 30, 27 and 40 yards in the first half, before nailing a 38-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to wrap up his perfect day.
Suder tied former kicker Tyler Tate, who made four field goals in a 2014 victory over Indiana. Bowling Green's current kicker is now a perfect 5-for-5 on field goals for the 2017 season. Bowling Green travels to Evanston, Illinois this Saturday (Sept. 16) to take on Northwestern at 7:30 p.m.
