Falcons Tee Off In Toledo

Toledo, Ohio – BGSU Men's Golf will play its second meet of the year at the Inverness Intercollegiate Invitational hosted by the University of Toledo Monday and Tuesday. The invitational will take place at the Inverness Golf Course in Toledo, Ohio. The Falcons will compete with 13 other teams including UCLA, Fresno State, Mercer, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Saint Mary's, Washington and Oklahoma State. Teams in the MAC also competing are Miami, Northern Illinois, Ohio and Toledo.

"It's always exciting to play on such a great golf course right in our backyard," BGSU men's golf coach Kevin Farrell said.
BGSU is coming off of a season-opening weekend at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate Invitational, where the team finished 14th out of 16 teams. The Falcons carded a 939, +87 total for the weekend. BGSU players in the lineup at Wolf Run Intercollegiate were Nick Hofland, finishing tied for 41st, Mitchell Kontak, tied for 49th, Pablo Heredia Iglesias, tied at 58th, Max Rispler, 80th and Trey Walker, 89th.
Heading into their second competition of the season, the Falcons will play with a lineup consisting of Pablo Heredia Iglesias, Mitchell Kontak, Nick Hofland, Max Rispler, Trey Walker and competing in his first collegiate meet, Rodrigue Vie of Epinal, France.
The Falcons will tee off at Inverness with a shotgun start at 8:30 A.M Monday.
BG will continue its fall 2017 season with four more events, including the Mountaineer Intercollegiate (Oct. 9-10), Autotrader Collegiate Classic (Oct. 16-17), MTSU-Old Fort Intercollegiate (Oct. 30), and finishing out the 2017 fall season, Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic (Nov 3-5).
