Comella and Tavpash Defeat Ranked Players in ITA Regionals Round of 16

Paula Comella and Marharita-Sophia Tavpash defeated a ranked pair of Illinois tennis players, No. 48 Jaclyn Switkes and No. 69 Mia Rabinowitz, 8-2 in the Main Doubles Draw of the ITA Midwest Regional Championships.

Comella and Tavpash shut-out a pair from Notre Dame 8-0 in the first round, and defeated a pair from Michigan 8-4, before their only match on Saturday against Switkes and Rabinowitz. Comella and Tavpash have been competing together in doubles all season long, and improved to 12-1 as a pair with their most recent victory.
