The Bowling Green State University tennis program's participation in the ITA Midwest Regional Championships ended on Sunday Morning when Paula Comella and Marharita-Sophia Tavpash were eliminated in quarter finals of the Main Doubles Draws. Comella and Tavpash were defeated 8-5 against Northwestern pair and No. 4 seed Rheeya Doshi and Julie Byrne.

Tavpash has now made three appearances in the ITA Midwest Regionals, and qualified for the Main Single Draw in two of those occasions. In last year's edition of the ITA Midwest Regionals, Comella and Marta Bettinelli were a pair in doubles and made a run to the round of 16, where they fell to a pair from Notre Dame.

With the Falcons' exit from the tournament, their 2018 fall schedule has come to an end. Falcons Tennis will compete again in 2019 in a pair of road matches against Xavier on Jan. 19, and Louisville on Jan. 20.
