POST-GAME REFLECTIONS
Coach Tomic on the result against Western Michigan
"I told the team before the match, Western was going to be hungry for their first win. This is a good lesson; any day, any night, you can lose or you can win in the MAC, no matter who you play and this match showed that… We have to be able to put two to three solid performances in a row if we want to win the MAC tournament.
We have some rotations we are still working on that other teams score points on, and we do the same against other teams where we know they struggle. There is nothing new that [Western Michigan] exposed to us that we already knew."
LOOKING AHEAD
Coach Tomic on Kent State and Ohio Matchups
"We are facing two very good teams this week on our home court. It's a great opportunity for us to bounce back and start a new winning streak.
Â
Kent State's record is not a reflection of how talented they are because they have all the tools to win against any MAC team. Ohio is always a tough opponent that runs a very quick and efficient offense, so our blocking and back row defense will have to be very disciplined and aggressive. Offensively, we will need to be efficient against both teams in order to give ourselves a chance to win. Ultimately, everyone on the court will have to do their job and execute our game plan."

SCOUTING THE KENT STATE GOLDEN FLASHES
• The Golden Flashes are 1-3 in the MAC after suffering defeats against Ohio (1-3), Eastern Michigan (0-3), and Buffalo (2-3). Kent State's only win in conference play came against the Akron Zips, in which the Golden Flashes took three of the five set that were played.
• Bowling Green has defeated Kent State in their past five meetings; Kent State's last victory (3-1) against the Falcons came on Sept. 26 of the 2015 season.

Â
SCOUTING THE OHIO BOBCATS

• The Falcons split matches with the Bobcats in 2017, but in previous years the Falcons had not beaten Ohio since Sept. 21 of the 2012 season.
