- "Obviously I'm happy with the way we played. We got off to a good start. We had lots of guys involved tonight, we had five freshmen in the lineup which I thought was great.
- "Our special teams was good overall which I'm really happy with early in the year."
- On Theocharidis' goal, "I thought him and Will (Cullen) were as advertised. Those two guys are going to be big parts of this year's team.
- On the Baylis hat trick, "He plays like that from a physical power forward perspective. That gives us a chance to be the team we're capable of being. For us to be the best version of ourselves, that takes the individuals on our team. I thought he was good tonight."
