Falcons Volleyball Cruises By Miami In Three-Set Win

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State defeated Miami (Ohio) for the second time in the 2018 season, on Thursday, Nov. 1. Bowling Green make up the only two defeats in Miami's updated conference record of 11-2. Bowling Green's sweep over the RedHawks improves the team's overall record to 16-10, and 10-3 in the MAC.

HIGHLIGHTS
• The Falcons were efficient in killing the ball from the start of the match, but the team's attacking efforts continued to improve as the match processed. The Falcons recorded a hitting efficiency of .191 in the first set, .220 in the second set, and .278 in the third and final set.
• Senior Kallie Seimet played a perfect from her end. The libero recorded 31 digs in three sets with no receive errors, meaning Seimet ended the match the match with an impressive digs per set average of 10.33.
• The Falcons were sharp defensively near the net as well. The team registered 13 blocks throughout the match. Senior Madeline Brandewie posted six total blocks made up of five block assists and a single solo block.Â
• Setter Isabelle Marciniak picked up her eighth double-double of the season after posting 26 assists, 10 digs, and five kills.

The Falcons will play their remaining regular season matches on the road before returning to Oxford, Ohio for the MAC Tournament. The Falcons face Northern Illinois on Saturday, Nov. 3.
