The Falcons' match against Miami can prove to be especially important in the context their season. Miami currently leads the MAC with a record of 11-1; Bowling Green trails closely behind at nine wins and three losses.Â

SCOUTING THE MIAMI REDHAWKS
• Bowling Green faced Miami in their third conference match of the 2018 season. After losing the first set, The Falcons bounced back and won the following three sets to ultimately claim the match, 3-1 (19-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-17).
• Miami are undefeated in nine consecutive matches since their only upset in the Mid-American Conference against the Falcons.
• Miami and Bowling Green both faced Buffalo and Akron this past weekend. Both teams swept Akron, and both teams played five sets versus Buffalo. Miami were able to get the job finished and win the match, whereas Bowling Green fell to the Bulls, 2-3.
• At 19-5 overall, and 11-1 in the MAC, the RedHawks are ranked 26th in the NCAA in win-loss percentage.
• The Falcons were co-champions of the Mid-American Conference Regular Season with Miami in 2017. Both teams went 13-3 in conference last season.
SCOUTING THE NORTHERN ILLIONOIS HUSKIES
• The Huskies will enter Saturday's competition with an overall record of 9-18, and 7-5 in the MAC. Over the weekend, NIU were swept by Ball State, but managed to grab a win over the Toledo Rockets (3-1).Â
• Prior to their win against the NIU in the 2017 season (3-2, Sept. 23), the Falcons were defeated in the four previous meetings against the Huskies.
• Middle blocker Meg Wolowicz ranks sixth in the NCAA in both total points and total kills, and ranks third in total attacks. From 1,234 attempted attacks, the Wolowicz has posted 420 kills. Wolowicz has registered 467 points this season. Â
• Libero Miranda Karlen's 520 digs this season puts her at No. 13 in NCAA rankings for total digs.
STATISTICAL LEADERS FOR THE FALCONS
• Kallie Seimet continues to lead the NCAA in digs per set with an updated average of 6.45. The libero from Oregon, Ohio is currently at 587 digs this season, making her third in the NCAA total digs category.
• The Falcons rank third in the NCAA in digs per set and 12th in team digs. The Orange and Brown are averaging 18.77 digs per set, and have registered 1,598 digs in the 2018-19 season. On the offensive end, the Falcons are fourth in team attacks per set, averaging 39.74. Â
• Isabelle Marciniak has put up 733 assists for her teammates this season. After playing in 82 sets this season, the setter is averaging 8.93 assists per set.
• Katelyn Meyer leads the Falcons in kills with 207. Katie Kidwell (174), Madeline Brandewie (174, and Isabel Kovacic (154) all trail closely behind.
• Katie Kidwell has been involved in 106 blocks. Kidwell is up to 17 solo blocks and 89 block assists this season.
FALCONS PICKED TO FINISH SECOND IN MAC EAST
• Bowling Green was picked to finish second in the East Division, as voted on by the conference's 12 head coaches.
• The Falcons received three votes to win the regular season, and one vote to win the 2018 MAC Tournament.
• Ohio was picked to win the East Division, regular-season title, and tournament title. Ball State was picked to win the MAC West.
• Additionally, senior libero Kallie Seimet and sophomore middle blocker Katie Kidwell were selected to the seven-member Preseason East All-MAC Team.
• Seimet averaged 6.81 digs per set last year to lead the country. In fact, it marked the second-straight season that a Falcon led the nation in the category, as Madeline Garda averaged 6.66 digs per set in 2016.
