Nine Falcons Named Academic All-MAC

Cleveland, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference today announced that nine members of the Bowling Green State University football team have been named to the 2018 Academic All-MAC team. In order to qualify for Academic All-MAC, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and junior college transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
Sophomores Caleb Bright, Grant Loy and Gabe Skrobot were all honored for the second time in their careers. As well, senior John Kurtz, sophomores James Carolan and Matt Naranjo, and redshirt freshmen Colin DeBord, Derek Downs and Zach Dziengelewski were recognized for the first time.
