BGSU Football To Play At Penn State In 2024

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University Athletics Department has announced that the football program will travel to State College, Penn. to take on Penn State University on Sept. 7, 2024. The two teams have squared off twice before, with Penn State taking the victory in both games with their most recent meeting taking place in 1998.
Since 2015, Bowling Green has faced a number of other Big Ten opponents, including Ohio State, Michigan State, Purdue, Northwestern and Maryland. The Falcons have gone 2-3 in those contests, topping both Purdue and Maryland during the 2015 season.
The Falcons had previously announced match-ups with a number of Big Ten foes in the coming years, beginning with a home game against Maryland in 2018, followed by a trip to Columbus to face Ohio State and the Fighting Illini of Illinois in 2020. BGSU will then travel to the twin cities to play Minnesota in 2021 before facing Penn State in 2024.
