Five Falcons Earn WGCA All-American Honors

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Five members from the Bowling Green State University women's golf program – Sammi Blackburn, Nichole Cox, Erin Fahey, Sarah Kern and Jessica Madry -- were recognized as All-American Scholars, the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced.
Fahey has now earned WGCA All-American status for the third-consecutive season, while Kern and Madry are second-time honorees. Blackburn and Cox earned the recognition for the first time in their Falcon careers.
A total of 1,011 women's collegiate golfers were recognized with the prestigious honor. The criteria for selection requires student-athletes to maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50. Student-athletes also must have competed in at least 50.0 of all tournament rounds on the season.
About the Women's Golf Coaches Association
The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 600 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
