You have three chances in as many days to catch a soccer match at Cochrane Stadium
The Bowling Green State University men's and women's soccer teams return home this weekend, playing a total of three matches inside the friendly confines of Cochrane Stadium. The women's soccer Falcons, coached by Matt Fannon, put a four-game unbeaten streak on the line on Friday night (Sept. 28), when BGSUÂ takes on Northern Illinois in a Mid-American Conference matchup.
On Saturday evening (Sept. 29), coach Eric Nichols and the men's soccer team will face Valparaiso in the final tuneup before MAC play begins. Then, the women's soccer Falcons are back in action on Sunday afternoon (Sept. 30), meeting Western Michigan on the Cochrane pitch.
Friday's NIU match is Youth Night/Future Falcon Kids Club Night at Cochrane. There will be several games and promotions, including a shoe scramble, geared toward our youthful Falcon fans, and the BGSU women's soccer players will be signing autographs after the match.
Saturday is Professors' Night as the men's soccer team faces the Crusaders. Faculty members in attendance will be recognized, and there will be an exhibition match between faculty members at halftime.
Additionally, 50 lucky youngsters will receive a free soccer ball at Saturday's match.
On Sunday, it'll be a Dog Day Afternoon at Cochrane. Fans are encouraged to bring their favorite canine companions to Cochrane. Your dog will have a chance to win a prize in various categories such as cutest dog, fluffiest dog, etc.
Admission to all BGSUÂ regular-season home soccer matches is free. We hope to see you at Cochrane Stadiium this weekend!
