Bowling Green State University women's soccer head coach Chris Fox has announced the addition of Hope Stacker to his staff. Stacker joins the Falcons after spending the last two seasons at Old Dominion University.
"I'm excited to add Hope to our staff," said head coach Chris Fox. "Hope is a high-energy coach who is hard-working, devoted, and fully invested in the development of our student-athletes. She has a growth mindset and a genuine desire to learn and improve every day. As a young coach, she will relate well to our players and will be a strong mentor for them on and off the field.
"Hope is also an outstanding goalkeeper coach whose attention to detail and passion for the position will elevate our goalkeeper union. I have no doubt Hope will make a meaningful impact on our program moving forward."
A standout goalkeeper during her collegiate career in the Midwest, Stacker joined the Old Dominion coaching staff in July of 2024 as a graduate assistant coach, and served as the primary goalkeeper coach. She helped the team to an overall record of 21-9-8 and a Sun Belt Conference record of 11-3-6 during her two seasons.
In her first season, Stacker coached Emily Bredek, who was named  SBC Goalkeeper of the Year and earned United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region third-team honors. Bredek led the conference and ranked 37th in the nation with a goals-against average of 0.786, and the Monarchs had a league-best 0.84 GAA as a team.
That 2024 club went 10-6-4 overall and 5-2-3 in SBC play, advancing to the semifinals of the conference tournament.Â
Then, last season, ODU finished with an overall mark of 11-3-4 and a 6-1-3 league ledger. The Monarchs defeated power conference schools Maryland and Virginia Tech and finished 52nd in the nation in the RPI.
Stacker mentored junior goalkeeper Ellie Goodrich, who earned All-Sun Belt third-team accolades. Goodrich finished 12th in the nation with a GAA of just 0.60.
As a team, the 2025 Monarchs had a team GAA of 0.94, with seven clean sheets and just 17 goals allowed in 18 matches.
"I am incredibly grateful to be joining the Bowling Green Women's Soccer program, and want to thank Chris for the wonderful opportunity to be part of this staff," said Stacker. "Bowling Green has a strong tradition of competitive success and a commitment to developing student athletes on and off the field.
"I'm excited to build meaningful relationships with our players, invest in their growth, and help move this program forward as we pursue championships and sustained success at the highest level."
Stacker joined the ODU coaching staff after a stellar playing career at Indiana Wesleyan University, where she was a three-time NAIA All-American and earned All-Crossroads League First-Team honors on three occasions. She finished her career with a school record-low 0.879 GAA and 16 clean sheets.
In each of her seasons, Indiana Wesleyan made it to the second round of the NAIA National Championships. As a freshman, Stacker was named to the NAIA All-America Second Team after recording a GAA of just 0.79 and a saves percentage of .857. She had 11 saves on two occasions during the season.
Her sophomore season of 2021 saw her earn honorable-mention NAIA All-America accolades after starting all 19 matches and recording a 1.03 GAA. As a junior, she again earned All-America honorable mention with a GAA of 0.68 and a save pct. of .851. That season, she had 10 saves en route to a clean sheet in the first round of the NAIA National Tournament.
As a senior, she suffered an ACL injury in January of 2023 and did not return to the pitch until the final nine games of the season. During the time she was out, she served as the goalkeeper coach and helped guide freshman Avery Sluss to 10 clean sheets. Â
When Stacker returned to action, she started seven of the last nine games and allowed four goals in 521 minutes of action, for a GAA of just 0.69. She had a season-high eight saves against second-ranked Spring Arbor in the championship match of the conference tournament.
In her career, she played in 67 matches, making 61 starts, and had a 34-11-5 record and 226 career saves along with those 16 clean sheets.
Stacker graduated with a double major in sports management and sports ministry and a minor in coaching. She also worked with the Indy Premier Soccer Club as a goalkeeper coach with boys and girls ages ranging from 8-18, focusing on goalkeeper player development, film review, and in-game evaluation and feedback.Â
Stacker is the daughter of Douglas and Christine Stacker and has four siblings: Heather Fanning, Brittany Thompson, Noah Stacker, and Leah Graber. She is the proud aunt of Remingtyn, Beckham, Nico, and Amelia.
