CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team's home game versus nationally-ranked Buffalo, originally scheduled for Feb. 2 at 6 p.m., has been picked up by national television. The conference office announced the news on Friday (Jan. 11) afternoon.
The game will now air on CBS Sports Network, and will be played on Friday, Feb. 1 at 8 p.m. inside the Stroh Center. All tickets already purchased for the game will be honored. For more information or questions regarding ticket sales, please contact the BGSU Ticket Office at 877-BGSU TICKET.
Furthermore, the Chalk Talk, originally scheduled for Feb. 2, will also be moving to prior to the game on Feb. 1. The Chalk Talk will take place in the Hall of Fame area inside the Stroh Center.
The Mid-American Conference has several "Wild Card" slots throughout the 2018-19 conference schedule. The Wild Card selections allow the MAC to move Saturday games to a Friday slot in order to appear on national TV. Schools must be notified at least 21 days prior to the originally scheduled game.
Bowling Green continues its conference schedule tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. at Central Michigan. The Falcons, 2-0 in the MAC, have won six-straight games by double figures for the first time since 1947-48.
