BG Tennis Comes Up Short In South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Bowling Green State University tennis program was back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 23 against the University of Notre Dame, but fell short. The Falcons put up a strong fight, but were unable to capture a point, with the Fighting Irish winning 7-0. The loss brings the Falcons record to 1-2 on the young season.

This will be the Falcons first home match of the year and will take place at the Perrysburg Tennis Center. It will be the first of two home matches in a row for the Orange and Brown. For Indiana Tech, the match will serve as their first event of the spring schedule.

- Paula Comella nearly captured a win in the second set, but Spence of Notre Dame edged out the final point. This is the first time this season Comella has been on the losing end of singles play.
