January 05, 2019 | Women's Swimming & Diving
The Bowling Green State University swimming and diving team completed their first of two weekend meets in Fort Myers, Fla. versus 2018 Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Championships winners Florida Gulf Coast (FGCU), and 2018 CCSA Championships runner-ups Liberty.
The Falcons fell to the FGCU Eagles by a score of 120-175, and were also defeated by the Liberty Flames by a large margin of 134 points (80-124).
Despite the results, several Falcon swimmers and divers performed strongly in Saturday's meet. Four Falcon swimmers finished in the top five in six of the 16 total events, including first-place finishes from freshman Daisy Platts in the 200-yard backstroke, and junior Talisa Lemke in the 1-meter diving event.
