MAC office releases preseason coaches poll
The Mid-American Conference women's basketball coaches have had their say, and Bowling Green State University has been picked to finish sixth in the East Division in the 2019-20 season. The Women's Basketball Coaches' Preseason Poll and the Preseason All-MAC Teams, the results of voting by the league's 12 head coaches, were announced Wednesday afternoon (Oct. 30).
Ohio and Central Michigan were selected to win their respective divisions in 2019-20, with the Bobcats picked to capture this year's MAC Tournament title as well.
Â
Head coach Robyn Fralick enters her second season with the Falcons, who return eight letterwinners from last season. That group is joined by Caterrion Thompson, who missed the entire 2018-19 campaign due to injury after earning a letter in each of the previous two years.
The Falcons open the season next Wednesday, Nov. 6, when Cleveland State comes to the Stroh Center. Fralick and the Falcons will play three consecutive home games to begin the season.
