Mwembia, Duwve Named Jets Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Jet's Pizza Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's soccer player Anthony Mwembia and women's soccer player Kathleen Duwve.
Male Athlete of the Week
Anthony Mwembia, a senior from Toulouse, France, made six saves to record two shutouts to close the season. He had two saves in a 1-0 road win at Wright State and then made four second half saves in a 1-0 home win over Northern Illinois to clinch a MAC Tournament quarterfinal home game.Â

Female Athlete of the Week
Kathleen Duwve, a senior from Sylvania, Ohio, made three saves in a 2-1 semifinal round victory over Buffalo Friday, allowing the only goal of the contest on a penalty kick. Then on Sunday, with a MAC Championship on the line, she made four saves for a shutout against Eastern Michigan. When the match went to penalty kicks, Duwve made a pair of diving saves to lead the Falcons to the title for the second straight year.
