Rauhauser, Cox Named Jet's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Jet's Pizza Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are hockey player Alec Rauhauser and women's soccer player Nikki Cox.

Male Athlete of the Week
Senior captain Alec Rauhauser, a senior from Bismarck, N.D., had a large hand in Bowling Green's split with No. 2 Minnesota State this past weekend. He scored a goal past MSU's McKay to cut into a two goal lead on Friday (Nov. 1) night, before tallying an assist on Cam Wright's goal to tie the game. Bowling Green would go on to win in overtime. The next night, Rauhauser tallied the game tying goal for the Falcons in the first period of play.

Female Athlete of the Week

Nikki Cox, a redshirt junior from Granville, Ohio, had a team-high five points as BGSU beat Toledo to close the regular season and then defeated Central Michigan in the MAC Tournament quarterfinals. Cox scored the game-winner in both games. The first broke a 1-1 tie in the 77th minute to clinch the MAC regular season championship. Against CMU, she assisted on the game-opening goal three minutes into the second half before scoring her own goal 3:27 later in a 4-1 win.
