MATT FANNON INTERVIEW (Nov. 6, 2019)
FIVE FASCINATING FALCON FACTS
• BGSU won the MAC regular-season title for the second consecutive year. The Falcons posted a 3-1 win at Toledo last Thursday (Oct. 31) to clinch the outright crown, with a 10-1-0 league record for the second-straight season. BGSU has captured the regular-season title for the third time in the history of the program.
• The 2005 Falcons won the first MAC regular-season championship in program history, finishing with a then program-best 9-2-0 league mark. Last season, the Falcons went 10-1-0 in the MAC to set new school records for conference wins and winning percentage. Both the '05 and '18 teams, like the 2019 club, won outright league titles.
• With another 10-1-0 league ledger this season, BGSU has become the first program in MAC history to win 10 conference games in back-to-back seasons.
• BGSU opened MAC Tournament play with a 4-1 win over Central Michigan at Cochrane Stadium on Sunday (Nov. 3). In that win, the Falcons tied the school record for goals in a league tournament match. BG also found the net four times in a 4-1 win over Western Michigan in the 2004 tourney's semifinal round.
• BG now has an overall record of 40-17-6 since Matt Fannon was named head coach prior to the 2017 season. The Falcons are 26-6-1 in MAC regular-season matches in Fannon's first three years at the helm, and BG enters the UB match with a record of 5-1-1 in league tourney games in Fannon's tenure.

• 26-6-1 in MAC regular-season matches in that time;
• 23-2-1 against the MAC (both regular-season and tournament matches) since the start of the 2018 campaign;

• 36-1-1 when scoring at least two goals in a match in the Fannon Era.
• 18-2-1 in all home matches (both regular-season and tournament) against MAC opposition since Fannon came to BG; and

THE OPPONENT
• Buffalo enters Friday's BGSU match with an overall record of 9-7-3, and the Bulls finished MAC play with a 5-4-2 record. UB is coming off of back-to-back double-overtime matches vs. Akron. THE SERIES
• BGSU leads Buffalo, 16-8-1, in the all-time series, and the Falcons captured a narrow 2-1 victory at Cochrane earlier this season, with goals from Maureen Kennedy and Nikki Cox. Last season, BGSU picked up a 5-0 road victory late in the season, and the Falcons have a four-game series winning streak after a pair of come-from-behind victories at Cochrane Stadium in 2017, including a 3-1 win in the MAC Tournament quarterfinals that year. BG is 11-4-0 at home, 4-4-1 on the road and 1-0-0 in neutral-site matchups vs. UB through the years.
