December 11, 2019 | Women's Soccer
A total of nine Bowling Green State University women's soccer student-athletes have been named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team. The team was announced by the conference office Wednesday morning (Dec. 11).
Seniors Hannah Dolfuss, Kathleen Duwve, Maureen Kennedy, Kristin Tveit and Chelsee Washington, junior Nikhita Jacob and sophomores Sarah Allen, Ruby Linton and Alexis Miller all were named to the team.
Kennedy and Washington each were named to the team for the third consecutive year, while Duwve, Jacob and Tveit each made the academic all-conference squad for the second-straight season. Dolfuss was named to the team for the first time, while Allen, Linton and Miller made the team in their first year of eligibility for the award.
A total of 127 student-athletes were named to the team.
To be eligible for the Academic All-MAC honor, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's matches during the season.
The Falcons won both the MAC regular-season and tournament titles for the second consecutive year. BGSUÂ went 14-6-3 overall, tying the school record for wins, and finished with a league ledger of 10-1-0 for the second-straight season. The Falcons became the first program in MAC history to win 10 conference matches in back-to-back seasons.
Since head coach Matt Fannon took the helm prior to the 2017 season, the Falcons are 41-18-7 overall, 26-6-1 in MAC regular-season matches and 32-7-3 in all games vs. conference foes.
