ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team dropped its second heartbreaker in as many nights, as Quinnipiac University rallied and defeated the Falcons by a score of 69-64. The game concluded BGSU's two-game stay at the Boardwalk Battle.
Daeqwon Plowden posted his second double-double in as many nights, as he finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds. The double-double was the fifth of Plowden's career, while his 20 points marked the third 20-point game of his career. Caleb Fields added 15 points and a career-high five rebounds. Matiss Kulackovskis tied a career high with 10 points, and did so on perfect 4-of-4 shooting. The four made field goals for Kulackovskis established a new career high.
Bowling Green held a six-point lead at the half, but the Falcons were held to an 8-for-42 clip from the floor in the second half. Bowling Green will return to action on Dec. 31, when the Falcons take on Hartford at the Stroh Center at 12 p.m.
