Plowden, Perry Named Jet's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Jet's Pizza Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's basketball player Daeqwon Plowden and women's basketball player Angela Perry.

Male Athlete of the Week
Daeqwon Plowden, a junior from Philadelphia, Pa., had a career night in Bowling Green's 68-65 win over Oakland on Saturday. Plowden recorded the third double-double of his career, as he finished with 10 rebounds and a career-high 23 points. Plowden, who made his first eight shots from the field, finished the day 9-for-13 from the floor. Plowden's nine field goals set a career high. The native of Philadelphia also made a career-high three triples, as he went 3-for-4 from downtown. Plowden's 23-point night marked the first 20-point game of his collegiate career.

Female Athlete of the Week

Angela Perry, a junior from Rochester, Ill., scored 25 points, shooting nearly 85 percent from the field, in the Falcons' 82-69 win at Marshall. Perry made 11 of her 13 shots from the floor en route to her game-high scoring total. She made her only three-point attempt, and also had eight rebounds, four assists and a pair of blocked shots in the win over the Thundering Herd.
