• Then, last weekend (Dec. 7), the Falcons broke that four-day-old record with an 83-point win, topping Defiance by a 118-35 final. The list of largest margins of victory in school history...

CENTURY MARK(S) (AND STROH RECORD[S])
• In the win over Kentucky State, BGSU reached the 100-point mark for the first time since January of 2023, and the 29th time in school history. Then, the Falcons made it 30 such games with the victory against Defiance, and 31 with Sunday's (Dec. 14) triumph over Lourdes.
• BGSU's 103 points vs. the Thorobreds marked the Falcons' highest-ever point total at the Stroh Center, and the highest total in any game in over two decades (since a 115-84 win at then-IPFW in November of 2004). BG had not scored as many as 103 points in a home game in more than 30 years (since a 108-91 win over Kent State in January of 1994 at venerable Anderson Arena).
• Then, BGSU amassed a total of 118 points vs. Defiance, setting a Stroh Center record for the second time in under a week. The 118-point total is the third-highest in school history.
• The school record for points in a game is 127, vs. Valparaiso in January of 1992 at "The House That Roars," and BGSU had a 121-point output in a win over Kent (Feb. 23, 1991) at Anderson.
• The complete list of BG's 100-point games can be found on page 15 of these notes.
CENTURY CLUB
• In the first 200 games the Falcons played at the Stroh Center, BGSU never scored more than 102 points in a contest. Now, BG has surpassed that total in three consecutive games in the building.
• The Falcons had 103 points vs. Kentucky State on Dec. 3, setting a new arena record for points in a game. Then, four days later, BGSU shattered that four-day-old record with 118 points against Defiance.
• On Sunday, BG scored 104 points vs. the Gray Wolves, marking the Falcons' third-straight triple-digit scoring game.
THREE IN A ROW
• BGSU's current streak marks just the second time in school history that the Falcons have scored at least 100 points in three consecutive games. BG picked up a 109-96 win at Kent State on Jan. 30, 1988, then had 101 points in back-to-back home victories, against Central Michigan (101-78; Feb. 3, 1988) and Eastern Michigan (101-67; Feb. 6, 1988).
LAST TIME OUT: BGSU LEAPS PAST LOURDES, 104-76
• Junior Paige Kohler made history on Sunday afternoon (Dec. 14), as the Falcons picked up a 104-76 win over Lourdes University at the Stroh Center.
• Kohler recorded the first triple-double in program history, with 17 points and game-high totals of 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Falcons (6-4).
• Junior Joniyah Bland-Fitzpatrick also had 17 points in the win, going 6-for-7 from the field, while redshirt junior Jasmine Fearne and sophomore Lauren Gerken each scored 16 points.
• For the Gray Wolves, who are 9-0 on the season, Emma Pedroza and Kaylona Butler combined to score 57 points. Pedroza had a game-high 32 points, with Butler adding 25. Sunday's game counted as an exhibition contest for Lourdes.
• The visitors scored seven points in the final 40 seconds of the opening quarter to take a 21-19 lead after 10 minutes, but BGSU ended the first half on a 17-2 run to head into the locker room with a 51-33 lead.
• That BGSU lead reached 20 points for the first time on an Emily Siesel three-pointer early in the third quarter, and Kohler's putback later in the period upped the margin to 30 points. The advantage became a game-high 39 points midway through the fourth, as Jaedyn Cook's layup gave the Orange and Brown a 101-62 lead before the Gray Wolves ended the game on a 14-3 run.
• Kaia Woods and Ky'Aira Miller each scored nine points, with Woods adding six assists, five rebounds and a game-high five steals. Siesel and Cook each scored six points, with Cook pulling down eight rebounds.
• The Falcons had a 49-33 rebounding advantage, including a 43-19 lead in that category over the final three periods.
• BGSU shot 57.1 percent from the floor on the afternoon.
KOHLER NAMED TO PRESEASON ALL-MAC TEAM
• Junior Paige Kohler was named to the 2025-26 Preseason All-Mid-American Conference First Team, which was determined via voting by the league's 13 head coaches.
• Kohler, a native of Olmsted Falls, Ohio (Olmsted Falls), earned All-MAC Honorable mention last season, and also was named to both the Academic All-MAC Team and the Academic All-District® Team, selected by College Sports Communicators. The guard started all 31 games in 2024-25, and averaged 35.0 minutes per contest. She finished second on the Falcons in both scoring and rebounding, with 13.6 points and 4.6 boards per game.
• Kohler made a team-leading 76 three-point field goals last winter, shooting 36.7% from the arc. She averaged 3.58 steals and had a 1.82 assist/turnover ratio, ranking second on the Falcons in both areas. Kohler was second in the entire MAC in both minutes per game and three-pointers made per game (2.5).
• This season, Kohler leads the Falcons in scoring, with 14.6 ppg, and she is second in assists (4.2 apg). She is listed among the MAC leaders in scoring (seventh), assists (eighth), free-throw pct. (15th), three-pointers (10th) and assist/turnover ratio (third).
• In her first two seasons at BGSU (plus 10 games), Kohler has compiled impressive totals of 905 points, 322 rebounds, 265 assists and 133 three-point field goals made. She is currently ranked on the BGSU career lists for points per game (12th, 12.57), assists per game (seventh, 3.68), three-pointers made (18th) and three-pointers made per game (sixth, 1.85).
• Kohler has been in the starting lineup for all 72 of BGSU's games since she arrived on campus.
SPEAKING OF THE STARTING LINEUP
• When BGSU took the court on Nov. 22, a pair of fourth-year Falcons were in the starting lineup for the first time in their respective collegiate careers. Senior Emily Siesel and redshirt junior Jasmine Fearne joined juniors Paige Kohler and Taya Ellis and sophomore Johnea Donahue in the starting five for the Alaska Anchorage game.
• That duo ranked 1-2 on the Falcons in minutes played vs. the Seawolves. Fearne played a total of 34:12, topping her previous career high by nearly eight minutes. Siesel, who had never played more than 21:45 in a game with the Orange and Brown, was on the court for 33:26 at UAA.
• And, the tandem made the most of their time. Siesel scored a career-high eight points, and also set or tied her career bests in rebounds, field goals made and attempted, assists and steals. She had four boards, three dimes and three steals.
• Fearne has remained in the starting lineup, and has averaged 10.4 points per game in her five starts, including a career-high 16 against both Defiance and Lourdes.
• Siesel, who came off the bench to score nine points vs. Defiance, returned to the starting lineup and had six points against Lourdes. She is averaging 6.0 points and 3.0 assists over the last five games.
BLOCK PARTY
• Junior Taya Ellis has blocked 14 shots in 10 games this season to date, and currently leads the MAC in blocks per game (1.40).
• Ellis is rapidly moving up the BGSU career blocks list. She now has 56 rejections in 63 career games, and has moved into a tie for 13th on that BG chart. And, she is currently fourth in school history with 0.89 blocks per game as a Falcon.
• Many BGSU career lists can be found on pages 18-19 of these very notes.
A QUICK LOOK AT THE DOLPHINS
• Le Moyne is 1-8 overall entering Tuesday morning's contest at the Stroh. The Dolphins are coming off of an 89-42 loss at Marquette on Sunday. LC is coached by former BGSU assistant Nick DiPillo.
• Eli Clark leads a balanced scoring attack with 9.6 points per game, as five players have at least 6.6 ppg. Ashley Buragas is one of those players, with 8.3 ppg and a team-leading 6.2 rebounds per outing.
• DiPillo welcomed back six players from the 2024-25 team that went 7-24 overall and 6-10 in the Northeast Conference.
THE SERIES
• The Falcons and Le Moyne have never met in women's basketball.
DOWN THE ROAD
• Following the Le Moyne matinee, the Falcons will conclude their six-game homestand with Saturday's (Dec. 20) Mid-American Conference opener vs. Kent State. That game will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Stroh Center.
• Then, after a break for the holidays, the Orange and Brown will head to Ypsilanti, Mich., for the conference road opener vs. Eastern Michigan on Tuesday, Dec. 30. That game will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the George Gervin GameAbove Center.
