Jim Hwang To Join Tennis Staff As Assistant Coach

Jim Hwang will be joining the staff of the Bowling Green State University tennis program, serving as the team's Assistant Coach.
Currently a tennis pro at Perrysburg Tennis Center, Hwang has been teaching tennis for over 25 years. Over that time, he has experience working with people of all ages and levels, including juniors from beginning to nationally ranked. Previously, Hwang worked at Five Seasons Sports Club in Chicago, holding the positions of Director of Junior Tennis and Interim Director of Tennis.
Hwang has also served as the Head Tennis Pro at Armonk Tennis Club and as the Director of Junior Programs at Westchester Indoor Tennis Club in New York. He also assisted with training programs through the USTA in Chicago and Northern California.
As a player, Hwang has participated in national and satellite/future level tournaments. He is certified by the USPTA as an Elite Professional.
Tennis will resume their season this weekend with two matches. On Friday (Feb. 22), they will travel to Dayton, Ohio to take on Wright State with first serve set for 11 a.m. The team will return home on Saturday (Feb. 23) to face Indianapolis at the Perrysburg Tennis Center, beginning at 2 p.m.
