BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team was defeated by Miami University on Tuesday (Feb. 26) night by a score of 82-69. The game was played inside the Stroh Center in front of a crowd of 2,225. Bowling Green drops to 19-9 (11-4 MAC) on the season with the loss.
The RedHawks led by six at the half, and turned in a historic night shooting the basketball. Miami went 15-for-33 (45.5 percent) from downtown, including a 9-for-20 (45.0 percent) mark in the second half. Four different RedHawks scored in double figures.
Senior forward Demajeo Wiggins and redshirt-sophomore guard Justin Turner paced the Falcons with 14 points apiece. Wiggins also added 11 rebounds, marking his 18th double-double of the season and 40th double-double of his career.
Sophomore forward Daeqwon Plowden posted 11 points and a career-high four blocks. Dylan Frye went 3-for-7 from three-point territory to finish with 13 points. Off the bench, juniors Michael Laster and Marlon Sierra led Bowling Green with six points each.
