BGSU to play four home matches
The 2018 Mid-American Conference champions will take the field for the first time in 2019 this weekend. Head coach Matt Fannon and the Bowling Green State University women's soccer team will open the Spring 2019 schedule on Friday evening (March 8) at Ohio State.

The OSU match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center in Columbus.
Then, BGSU will play four of the five remaining dates at home. BGSU will face arch-rival Toledo on Saturday, March 30, in a 2:00 p.m. start in BG.
The following weekend will see the Orange and Brown travel to Pontiac, Mich., for a pair of matches vs. Michigan foes. On Sunday, April 7, BGSU will meet Michigan State in a 4:45 p.m. start, and the Falcons will face Oakland in a 6:00 p.m. first touch. Both contests will be held at Ultimate Soccer Arenas in Pontiac.
The remainder of the schedule will take place at Cochrane Stadium. BGSU will meet Grand Valley State on Sunday afternoon, April 14, in a 2:00 p.m. start. BG will play at 1:00 p.m. on back-to-back Saturdays, beginning with a matchup vs. Detroit Sun FC on April 20.
The following weekend -- Saturday, April 27 -- will see numerous Falcon women's soccer greats return to their old stomping grounds, as the program's annual Alumnae Match is set for that date.
The 2018 Falcons won both the MAC regular-season and tournament titles. BGSUÂ went 14-5-3 overall, tying the school record for wins and setting a new record for fewest losses in a season, and the Falcons were 10-1-0 in MAC regular-season play. BG won the league regular-season title for just the second time in program history, and the total of 10 conference wins set a new school record. The Brown and Orange captured the MAC Tournament title for the third time.
Since Fannon took the helm prior to the 2017 season, the Falcons are 27-12-4 overall, 16-5-1 in MAC regular-season matches and 20-6-2 in all games vs. conference foes.
