Falcon Tennis Completes Third Sweep Of The Season, Topping Dayton 7-0

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University tennis program completed the 7-0 sweep against Dayton on Friday (March 8). The sweep is the Falcons third of the season, their highest total since the 2011-12 season. The win moves Bowling Green's record to 6-5 on the season, while Dayton falls to 3-8. This also marks the conclusion of the Falcons non-conference play as they begin preparation for MAC opponents.

Statistical Standouts
- After being named MAC Women's Doubles Team of the Week two weeks ago, Comella and Tavpash captured the first win of the day for the Falcons, taking No. 1 doubles by a quick score of 6-0. The win moves Comella to be tied for No. 8 all-time in doubles wins with 73. For Tavpash, it's win No. 53 in doubles, moving her to No. 27 all-time. The win is also the third straight for the duo in No. 1 doubles.
- Sasaki and Bettinelli clinched the doubles point for the Falcons, winning the No. 3 doubles match, 6-1. The duo jumped out to an early 2-1 and would go on to clinch the point for Bowling Green.
- Radeva and Silveira came out on top of a hard-fought battle in No. 2 doubles. The final ended being 6-4, but the Falcons led the whole way.
- With win No. 68 in singles play, Comella moves into a tie for No. 16 all-time. As for combined wins, Comella now has 141, putting her in a tie for No. 13 all-time.
- Radeva captured her 57th win in singles play, moving her up to be tied for No. 24 all-time.
- Pardo came back in a back-and-forth match. After losing the first set, she stormed back to win the second set 7-5 and the third set 10-3.
