Falcons Look To Move Up Leaderboard After First Day Of Ryman Hospitality Intercollegiate

Falcons currently T8 after day one
Nashville, Tenn. – The BGSU Men's Golf team wrapped up a shortened day one of the Ryman Hospitality Intercollegiate with an opening round score of +12 (296) and currently sitting T-8.Â
Play was delayed with rain in the area and play starting at 12 p.m. local time. The tournament was shortened to 18 holes today and will conclude with the originally planned 18 holes tomorrow. The Falcons were led by a strong day from Rodrigue Vie, who currently sits T-2 at -2 (69). Vie led the Falcons with five birdies on the day. Trey Walker is sitting at T-38 at +4. Pablo Heredia Iglesias and Max Rispler are both at T-45 at +5 and Nick Hofland at T-53 at +6.Â
Every Falcon scored at least one birdie on the day as the Falcons look to climb up the leaderboard tomorrow morning. BGSU is within four strokes of placing in the top five. Currently Samford is atop the leaderboard at +1 (285) with Bradley +2 (286) and Southern Mississippi +5 (289) rounding out the top three.Â
