Clair, who was projected first team All-MAC by Athlon Sports, is a two-time third team All-MAC running back and has 1,427 career rushing yards heading into his junior campaign. As a true freshman, he broke the school record with 6.8 yards per carry. He has also proven to be a reliable pass catcher, making 32 receptions over two seasons. He enters 2019 with 1,988 career all-purpose yards and eight career 100-yard rushing games.
Konowalski has already earned second team preseason All-MAC honors by Lindy's Sports and fourth team recognition by Athlon Sports. He was granted a sixth year of eligibility after missing the entire 2018 season due to injury. Prior to that, he started all 24 games in 2016 and 2017, racking up 12.5 career tackles for loss and 6.0 quarterback sacks. A disruptive force, Konowalski has forced three career fumbles, recovered two, blocked an extra point, and recorded 112 tackles.
Bright and Kramer anchor an offensive line that has now seen three projected starters named to a national preseason All-MAC list. While Kramer earned third-team honors by Athlon Sports, fellow lineman Lorenzo Taborn was named to the fourth team by Athlon. Kramer and Bright combined to start 20 games a year ago, with Kramer starting every contest. Kramer began the year at left guard, while Bright started at center. Following an injury to Bright in week five, Kramer moved over to center to start the remainder of the year. Bright returned to start at right guard for the final three games of the 2018 campaign.
Perce is yet to play a game for the Falcons, sitting out the 2018 season after transferring from Rochester Community College. At RCC, he ranked second in all of the NJCAA with 14.2 tackles per game. He was the nation's leader in tackle assists with 72. Perce played at West Allis Central High School in Wisconsin, racking up 115 tackles as a senior.
In all, eight Falcons have been named to a preseason All-MAC team by either Lindy's Sports, Athlon Sports or Phil Steele so far. BGSU opens the season Aug. 29 when the Falcons host Morgan State in head coach Scot Loeffler's debut leading the program.
