Falcons Named an ITA All-Academic Team for 2019

Five BGSU standouts earn individual honors
The Bowling Green State University tennis team was well represented as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced its academic awards for the 2018-19 academic year. BGSU has been named a 2019 ITA All-Academic Team, and a total of five Falcons have been named ITA Scholar Athletes.
The list of individual honorees includes one senior from the 2018-19 team in Polina Radeva, along with juniors Ayumi Sasaki and Marharita-Sophia Tavpash, sophomore Marta Bettinelli and freshman Laura Silveira. The awards were announced by the ITA office on Thursday (July 18).
All-Academic teams boast a team GPA of 3.20 or higher. ITA scholar-athletes must meet the following criteria:Â 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters (including freshman through senior year).Â
The Falcons concluded the 2018-19 season with an overall record of 10-10 and a MAC ledger of 3-4 under head coach Stephanie Dalmacio.
