BGSU to Host Reception and Tailgate for Falcon Football’s 100-Year Celebration

Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University Department of Athletics will be hosting two events to kick off Falcon football's 100^th anniversary celebration weekend. A free movie screening and reception will be held on Friday, Oct. 11. Segments of the Falcon Football 100^th anniversary documentary will be presented, and a panel of speakers and football alumni will share their insights. The event will be held in Olscamp 101. Event registration opens at 5:30 pm, and the screening and panel discussion starts at 6:00 pm. Following the panel there will be an appetizer and cash bar at 7:00 pm.

BGSU is also hosting a pregame tailgate prior to the Falcons' matchup against Toledo on Saturday, Oct. 12. The event will begin three hours prior to kickoff, which has yet to be announced. Behind the scenes stories from the first 100 years of Falcon football will be presented by BGSU legends, and the ten newest inductees into Falcon Athletics' Cast of Honor will be recognized. The tailgate will include a barbecue with nonalcoholic beverages, and a cash bar will be available. The event requires registration and costs $20 to attend.
