Eight Falcons Named Preseason All-MAC By Athlon Sports

Dorian Pringle Leads List With First Team Selection
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Athlon Sports announced its preseason All-MAC teams with eight Bowling Green Falcons being named across the four teams, highlighted by Dorian Pringle being named to the first-team. In total, the Falcons selections include one first-team, four second-team, two third-team and one fourth-team.
Dorian Pringle, LB, First-Team
Pringle's sophomore season was cut short, but the standout linebacker proved to be a defensive cornerstone for BGSU. In the first two games against Lafayette and Cincinnati, Pringle recorded 20 tackles, three tackles for loss and a forced fumble. He added seven tackles and an interception in the homecoming game against Liberty before suffering an injury. Pringle also earned a Second-Team All-MAC preseason nod from Phil Steele.
Austyn Dendy, RB, Second-Team
After redshirting his freshman year at Missouri, Dendy arrived at BGSU as a redshirt freshman. The 6-foot-1, 225-pound running back excelled in the backfield during the second half of the season, rushing for 493 yards and five touchdowns in five games. He capped his season with 115 rushing yards and two scores against UMass, maintaining a 98.6 rushing yards per game average. Dendy also earned a Third-Team All-MAC preseason nod from Phil Steele.
Myles Bradley, EDGE, Second-Team
Bradley is coming off a redshirt junior campaign where he appeared in all 12 games for the Falcons and stuffed the stat sheet. Bradley totaled 20 tackles, five sacks and forced three fumbles during the course of the season. Over the final two games of the season, Bradley racked up seven tackles, a sack and a forced fumble. Entering his fourth season with BGSU, Bradley has amassed 45 career tackles, including 7.5 tackles for loss, six sacks and three forced fumbles over 28 games played.Ā
JoJo Johnson, CB, Second-Team
After transferring from Indiana, Johnson had an accomplished 2025 season at Bowling Green. The redshirt junior accumulated 22 tackles, 11 pass breakups, an interception and a fumble recovery in 11 games. He finished the year first in the MAC in passes defended and sixth in the country in that category.Ā Johnson also earned a First-Team All-MAC preseason nod from Phil Steele.
Kal-El Pascal, S, Second-Team
Pascal started every game at safety last season, amassing 80 tackles, four tackles for loss, one interception and two forced fumbles in all 13 games. His standout performance came against Liberty, where the Florida native made seven tackles, recovered a fumble and recorded an interception. He also appeared in every game as a freshman.Ā Pascal also earned a Second-Team All-MAC preseason nod from Phil Steele.
Eriq George, DL, Third-Team
George returns for his senior season after recording 26 tackles and four sacks in 2025 while appearing in all of BGSU's games. It was his first season as a Falcon, highlighted by a four-tackle, two-sack performance in the homecoming game against Liberty. He added a five-tackle outing against Central Michigan as well. George also earned a First-Team All-MAC preseason nod from Phil Steele.
Sanders Ellis, LB, Third-Team
Ellis arrives in Bowling Green after spending the 2025 season with Purdue. With the Boilermakers, Ellis appeared in 11 games, totaling six tackles and a half sack. Prior to his time in West Lafayette, Ellis played for Head Coach Eddie George at Tennessee State in 2024 where he was named an FCS Freshman All-American, a Jerry Rice Award Finalist and the OVC Defensive Freshman of the Year. He appeared in all 14 games, totaling 86 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries and two pass breakups.Ā
James Thomas Jr., OL, Fourth-Team
Entering his fourth season with the Falcons, Thomas appeared in 12 games for the Falcons last year as a sophomore, receiving starts against both Central Michigan and Buffalo. He took part in 405 snaps, including 355 on offensive with the remaining 50 being with the field goal and extra point units. Thomas appeared at left tackle for 72 offensive snaps and right tackles for 283, becoming a key piece in the second half breakout from Dendy and the BGSU ground attack.
The Falcons return to Doyt Perry Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 5 at noon to open the 2026 season against Tarleton. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+. Single-game and season tickets are on sale for all Bowling Green home football games.
