Loeffler Names Greg Nosal As Assistant Coach

Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green State University head football coach Scot Loeffler has announced the hiring of Greg Nosal as an assistant coach. Nosal will coach the running backs for the Falcons, while Chris Hedden will move to coaching tight ends.
Nosal has experience at a trio of Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) schools, most recently at East Carolina. Previously, he spent time at Miami (Fla.) and Virginia Tech.
At East Carolina, Nosal was an offensive analyst, assisting in the coaching and development of the offensive line. Among other duties, he also ran the front seven on the defensive scout team and was responsible for the oversight of the quality control staff and graduate assistants.
Prior to his time at East Carolina, Nosal worked at Miami (Fla.) from 2016-19, beginning as a graduate assistant with the offensive line and moving on to a quality control position with the offense. Nosal began his coaching career at Virginia Tech, serving as a graduate assistant with the tight ends from 2013-14 and then with the offensive line from 2014-16.
A two year starter at left guard, Nosal played for Virginia Tech from 2007-11. He was a member of three ACC Championship teams and squads that went to a bowl game in each season. He was Virginia Tech's Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2010 and an honorable mention All-ACC player in 2011.
Nosal is a two-time graduate of Virginia Tech, earning his bachelor's degree in 2011 and his master's degree in 2016.
