Rauhauser, Thompson Named Jet's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Jet's Pizza Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are hockey player Alec Rauhauser and women's basketball player Caterrion Thompson.

Male Athlete of the Week
Alec Rauhauser, a senior from Bismarck, N.D., tallied four points for the Falcons, playing in three games. After not registering a point against Miami on Monday night (Dec. 30), Rauhauser notched an assist on Friday night (Jan. 3) against Northern Michigan before netting a goal along with two assists on Saturday night (Jan. 4). His goal on Saturday night came on the power play, marking his first power play goal of the season.

Female Athlete of the Week

Caterrion Thompson, a redshirt junior from Lima, Ohio, led the Falcons in scoring in both games this week, including tying a season high with 20 points in a 91-52 win over Davis & Elkins. She added five assists, three rebounds and a steal in the victory. Saturday, Thompson again led the team with 13 points, adding four assists and a pair of rebounds at Eastern Michigan.
