Bowling Green, Ohio - Sports are back! For the first time since March, BGSU Athletics will compete in Division I intercollegiate athletics this week. Starting in 2020-21, we will provide a rundown of the week ahead in Falcon Athletics each Monday. Listed below are all athletic events for the week and ways for fans to follow.
FOOTBALL
Wednesday, Nov. 4 at Toledo, 8:00 pm

BGSU Football opens the 2020 season in the Battle of I-75 for its annual rivalry game with Toledo. A year ago, the Falcons won 20-7 and the all-time series is now even at 40-40-4. The game will be televised live nationally on ESPNU.Â
SWIMMING & DIVING
Saturday, Nov. 7 at Ball State, 1:00 pm

The Falcons open their season Saturday at Ball State in the first of two meets the team competes in during the fall semester. A year ago, the Falcons placed fifth out of eight teams at the MAC Championships, while Ball State placed last. First team All-MAC swimmer Daisy Platts returns for her junior season.Â
CROSS COUNTRY
Saturday, Nov. 7 Falcon Invitational, 2:00 pm

After a long, uncertain series of weeks and months, the men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete Saturday in the Falcon Invitational. The meet will take place at 2:00 PM at the BGSU cross country course. The men will be running the 8k and the women will be running the 6k. This is the Falcons' first competitive cross country meet since last season at the 2019 NCAA Great Lakes Regional in Madison, Wisc. (Nov. 15). Teams expected to compete include Ball State (women), Central Michigan (men and women), Eastern Michigan (men and women), Miami (men and women), Northern Illinois (women), Ohio (men and women), Toledo (men and women), and Western Michigan (women).

BG Falcon Hockey will return to this ice this weekend for the first time this season. The first glimpse of the 2020-21 Falcons will come this weekend in Plymouth, Mich. against the USA Hockey U-18 team in an exhibition. This will mark the first time BGSU has taken the ice since their 2019-20 season was cut short in the midst of a 10-game unbeaten streak that was leading the nation.Â
