Bowling Green Competes Against Louisville Saturday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Bowling Green State University tennis program came up short against the Louisville Cardinals on Saturday (Feb. 15) by a score of 6-1. Bowling Green put up a fight, taking one of the doubles matches before claiming a singles point as well. The loss moves the Falcons to 2-2 on the season thus far. The Orange and Brown will return home for their next match, facing Saint Francis next Friday (Feb. 21) with a 1 p.m. first serve at Perrysburg Tennis Center.

Making Of The Match
- In doubles play, Louisville claimed wins in both No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to take the point and move out to a 1-0 lead on the day.
- Despite not picking up the doubles point, the Falcons did take a set, seeing Kapitanova and Tsadari dominate at No. 2 doubles to a 6-2 final, rattling off multiple consecutive points to win.
- As for singles play, Bettinelli picked up the lone win for the Falcons on the day. In the first set, she jumped out to a 4-0 lead before claiming a 6-4 set win. The second set was more of the same, this time going up 3-0, leading into a 6-1 win for the point.

- The Orange and Brown will return home on Feb. 21 against St. Francis University, which will also be a 1 p.m. start at Perrysburg Tennis Center.
