MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team saw its eight-game winning streak come to an end on Tuesday (Feb. 4) night, as Central Michigan University picked up a 92-82 win inside of McGuirk Arena. Bowling Green remains in first place all alone in the Mid-American Conference.
The Falcons drop to 17-6 (8-2 MAC) with the loss. Central Michigan moves to 13-8 (6-2 MAC) with the win.
The Chippewas had an out-of-this-world shooting night across the board, shooting 47.5 percent (28-of-59) from the floor and 52.2 percent (12-of-23) from downtown. CMU went 24-of-26 (92.3 percent) from the free throw line, and received career nights from seniors David DiLeo (26 points / 6-of-8 on 3FG) and Dallas Morgan (29 points / 5-of-10 3FG).
Redshirt-junior guard Justin Turner scored 31 points on 8-of-16 shooting, marking the fifth 30-point game of his career. Junior forward Trey Diggs (11 points) and senior guard Michael Laster (10 points) also scored in double figures for the Orange and Brown. Senior guard Dylan Frye added nine points and five rebounds.
