SETTING THE SCENE...
• The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team returns home for the next two games, beginning with a Saturday (Feb. 8) matchup with Northern Illinois University. Head coach Robyn Fralick and the Falcons will meet the Huskies in a 1:00 p.m. start at the Stroh Center.
THE STARTING FIVE (FIVE MILDLY FASCINATING FALCON FACTS)
• Saturday begins a stretch of five home games in a seven-game span for the Falcons over the remainder of February. BG plays the next two games at the Stroh Center, hits the road for back-to-back contests in Michigan, then closes out the home schedule with three-straight games at the Stroh.

• The Falcons are averaging 73.0 points per game this year to date. BGSU has not averaged over 70 ppg in nine years, since the 2010-11 team scored 71.8 ppg.
• BGSU has scored 75 or more points in a game nine times this season, matching the total for all of last season. The Falcons have not had 10 or more games of 75-plus points since the 2013-14 team had 12 such contests en route to 30 wins.
• But, the Falcons have reached the 75-point plateau just once in nine conference games so far, BG has been held under 60 points in each of the last two games, after failing to reach the 60-point mark just three times in the first 19 games of the year.
• BGSU assistant coach Maria Kasza is in her first season on Robyn Fralick's staff after two years on the staff at NIU. Kasza helped the Huskies to a total of 34 wins in her two years in DeKalb, including an overall mark of 19-13 last winter.
We really hope you can join us at the Stroh Center on Saturday afternoon...

A QUICK LOOK AT THE HUSKIES
• Northern Illinois is 6-14 overall, and the Huskies have a 2-7 record in MAC play. Five of the seven league losses have been by single digits. The last two games have seen the Huskies beat Buffalo at home (64-63) before suffering a narrow road loss at league-leading Central Michigan (66-60).
• NIU is 2-6 at home, 3-7 on the road and 1-1 at neutral sites. In MAC action, the Huskies are 1-3 in DeKalb and 1-4 in hostile venues.
• Courtney Woods leads the team with 17.8 ppg, and recently surpassed the 2,000-point mark for her career. No fewer than six of her teammates average between 5.2 and 7.4 ppg.
• Head coach Lisa Carlsen welcomed back 12 letterwinners, including four starters, from a 2018-19 team that finished with a 19-13 overall record and a 10-6 MAC mark.
Saturday is also Future Falcon Kids Club Day at the Stroh!

THE SERIES
• The Falcons lead Northern Illinois, 24-17, in the all-time series, but the Huskies have won the last four meetings, including a pair last season. Northern picked up a 66-52 win at the Stroh last January (Jan. 16, 2019), before running away in the second half en route to an 88-47 outcome just over a year ago in DeKalb (Feb. 6, 2019). BG has won 14 of the last 19 meetings with Northern, and the Falcons are 14-7 in home games, 9-10 on the road and 1-0 in neutral-site contests with the Huskies through the years.
