Talisa Lemke Named To CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Bowling Green State University senior Talisa Lemke was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's At-Large team, as announced Thursday (May 21) by CoSIDA. As part of District 5's First Team, Lemke was one of 12 student-athletes selected, and one of four swimmers/divers named to the list. With being named to the district's first team, Lemke will advance to consideration for Academic All-America honors, which will be announced in June.
Lemke, who recently finished up a historic career in the Orange and Brown, also earned the honor in 2019. The recognition is selected by CoSIDA for the top student-athletes in the nation for combined performance in their respective athletic field, as well as the classroom. The District 5 for NCAA Division I includes just two other student-athletes from the Mid-American Conference. Of the 12 total honorees, Lemke is one of four student-athletes with a 4.00 GPA.
Recently named BGSU's Senior Female Scholar Athlete of the Year at the Ziggy's, Lemke completed her career as a Falcon in style in 2019-20. Below is Lemke's senior year bio, which highlights her awards and accomplishments.
As stated in the attached release, voting for the CoSIDA Academic All-America® team is scheduled to begin at Noon (ET) on Wednesday, May 27, and will close on Thursday, June 4 at 9 PM (ET).

CSCAA All-American … MAC Diver of the Year … MAC Most Outstanding Senior … First Team All-MAC … Academic All-MAC ... MAC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete … collected 17 consecutive victories, including four with first place finishes in the prelims … recorded a pair of school records at the Magnus Cup, scoring 330.35 in the 1 meter dive and 373.50 in the 3 meter dive … registered a 346.80 in the 1 meter dive against Toledo, breaking her own school/personal record … won both diving events at the MAC Championships, giving her five total conference titles … scored over 300 in 16 of the season's 19 events … qualified for the NCAA Diving Zones for the fourth time in her career.
