Falcon Basketball Season Tickets On Sale Now!
August 13, 2020 | Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball
The Mid-American Conference (MAC) has announced the postponement of all scheduled fall contests, as well as MAC championships, due to continuing concerns related to the COVID-19 global pandemic.
Â
The MAC's announcement does not impact winter sports schedules, and we are proceeding as scheduled with preparations for the 2020-21 basketball season. Due to the combination of excitement for BGSU basketball and an anticipated reduction of capacity at the Stroh Center, it is unlikely that single game tickets will be available for the 2020-21 season. For the best chance to see the Falcons in action this season, grab your season tickets now!

The men's team returns 10 players from a 2019-20 team that went 21-10. As a program, the Falcons have won 21-plus games in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1947-49. BGSU's 2020-21 team will be led by a trio of accomplished seniors in Justin Turner, Daeqwon Plowden and Trey Diggs. Turner, a back-to-back First Team All-MAC selection, is just 344 points shy of breaking the program's all-time scoring record.
Â
"With the fall semester inching closer, I'm excited to get back to work with our players, said head men's basketball coach Michael Huger. "Led by a talented trio of seniors – Justin Turner, Daeqwon Plowden, Trey Diggs – I believe we have the experience and depth to be MAC champs. Our fans have, and will continue to be, an instrumental part of our program's success. Our players and staff will do our work, each and every day, to make our fans proud."
Â
The women's team embarks upon year three of the Robyn Fralick Era in 2020-21, looking to restore the Falcons' place as a perennial MAC Championship contender. Fralick, who arrived at BGSU with an eye-popping .972 career winning percentage, has installed an exciting brand of basketball inside the Stroh Center. Last year's team averaged over 72 points per game, the most in a decade, and BG was among the nation's leaders in both total assists and assists per game. Veterans including Clare Glowniak, Kadie Hempfling, Madisen Parker and Angela Perry will provide leadership for a youthful club that features 10 freshmen or sophomores on the 15-player roster.
Â
"These have been incredibly unique and challenging times this off-season," said Fralick. "Something that has remained constant is our eagerness to be united with our team in our favorite place, The Stroh Center. We cannot wait to play basketball together! The season is coming soon and we have a very together group that has been willing to work. I love our mix of returning experience and enthusiastic newcomers. Thank you for making BGSU an incredible place to coach and play basketball. See you soon, Falcons!"
