Men's Golf To Split Play Between Mountaineer Intercollegiate, Tom Tontimonia Invitational

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green men's golf team will be split this week as some of the team will be competing in the Mountaineer Intercollegiate while others will be playing in the Tom Tontimonia Invitational. The Falcons have already played in three tournaments this fall, coming off a second-place finish at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational.
Mountaineer Intercollegiate
The Mountaineer Intercollegiate will be a two-day event played at the Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport, W.V. The par-72 course will span 7,308 yards, seeing golfers play 36 holes on Monday followed by the final 18 on Tuesday. Monday will have a shotgun start of 8:45 a.m. while Tuesday will have an 8:30 a.m. start.
The field in West Virginia will include a total of 12 teams. Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan and Ohio will represent the Mid-American Conference while the rest of the field will include host West Virginia, Drexel, Eastern Kentucky, George Mason, Marshall, Maryland, NC State, Penn State and Xavier.

Tom Tontimonia Invitational
The Tom Tontimonia Invitational will also be a two-day event. Hosted by Cleveland State, the tournament will be played at Lakewood Country Club in Westlake, Ohio. Monday will be a 9 a.m. shotgun start with 36 holes on the schedule. Tuesday will see golfers start on holes 1 & 10 with tee times spanning from 8:45 a.m. until 10:51 a.m. for the final 18 of the tournament.
Bowling Green will be the only MAC team at the invitational. Other teams competing will include host Cleveland State, Robert Morris, Detroit, Butler, Green Bay, IUPUI, DePaul, St. Francis, Dayton, Oakland, Purdue Fort Wayne, Youngstown State and northern Kentucky.

- Bowling Green took first place at the Mountaineer Collegiate during the 2017-18 season while also taking first at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational during the 2019-20 campaign which included a first place individual finish from Rodrigue Vie.
