Falcons Aiming For 100th Win In Stroh Friday Against Norfolk State
November 18, 2021 | Men's Basketball
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball program will return to the Stroh Center on Friday night (Nov. 19) to host the Norfolk State Spartans for a 5:30 p.m. tip. It will be Friendsgiving Night at the Stroh as well as Student Workers Appreciation Night. Fans can watch the action on ESPN3 or tune in through radio on WFRO Eagle 99. Live stats will be available at statbroadcast.com with live updates available on Twitter (@BGSUMHoops).Â
The Falcons and Spartans are set to meet for just the fourth time in program history. Bowling Green enters with the series lead, 2-1, with all four contests being since the 2016-17 season. The last time Norfolk State made the trip to Bowling Green was in 2016, seeing the Falcons capture an 86-77 win. The Orange and Brown also took home a road win against the Spartans in 2017 before Norfolk State tallied their first win of the series in Atlantic City in 2019. Oddly enough, all of the previous three games were played in December, making this meeting the first outside of the calendar's 12th month.Â
At The Game: Friendsgiving
The Falcons will be hosting Friendsgiving against Norfolk State. Fans can find the marketing table inside the Stroh Center to enter for a chance to win a Thanksgiving dinner, complete with a turkey, stuffing and much more!Â

Tickets and Attendance Guidelines
Tickets for Friday's game are available for digital purchase HERE.Â
Regardless of vaccination status, all guests, staff, and vendors will be required to wear a face covering while in the Stroh Center. Fans are not required to show proof of vaccination to enter the Stroh Center, but face coverings – covering the nose and mouth – are required for all fans as they watch the game from their assigned seat and enter, exit, and move around. Children 2 and younger will not be required to wear a face covering. If spectators are unable to wear face coverings, they are encouraged not to attend games in-person for the sake of their health and the health of others.
A Bowling Green Win Would …Â
Scouting The SpartansÂ
Norfolk State will walk into the Stroh Center with a perfect record through their first four games at 4-0. The Spartans have won three of their four games by 17 points or more, topping Bridgewater (79-56), Penn State Wilkes-Barre (111-55) and William & Mary (91-74). The only team to keep the final within single digits was Tennessee State in a 66-59 score. Individually, the Spartans have four players averaging double-digit points, paced by Joe Bryant Jr. who's averaging 17.8 points.Â
Century Mark At The Stroh
The 2021-22 season marks the 11th in the Stroh Center for the men's basketball program and the team is nearing the 100-win milestone, currently sitting at 99. Over Coach Huger's seven seasons, his Falcons have tallied 58 of those 99 wins, including posting winning seasons at home each year from 2016-17 until 2019-20.Â
