Making Of The Match
- Beginning in doubles play, the Falcons first claimed a win at No. 2 doubles seeing Ayumi Sasaki and Selina Karg pair up for a 6-1 score. The two tallied points to a 5-0 lead before concluding at 6-1.
- The Orange and Brown soon picked up the doubles point with Marharita-Sophia Tavpash and Yulia Kapitanova capturing a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles to give the Falcons the early 1-0 advantage.
- Capping off doubles play, Laura Silveira and Hannah Neuman picked up the No. 3 doubles win as well, finishing out a 6-4 final.
- Although it didn't count towards the match, Marta Bettinelli and Florencia Fuentes played an exhibition doubles match that saw them win 6-1.
- Moving to singles play, Bettinelli was the first to conclude her match, winning both sets 6-1 to give the Falcons their second point of the day. She carried 3-0 starts into each set before clinching the wins.
- Just minutes after Bettinelli finished she was joined by Karg who picked up a 6-2, 6-0 win for the Falcons to move the score to 3-0. Karg started out in front 3-0 in the first set before Indiana Tech challenged with two points, however, Karg didn't give up another point the rest of the day.
- Only a few more minutes passed before the next singles match went final, seeing Ayumi Sasaki pick up a win with a pair of 6-1 finals. Like Bettinelli and Karg, Sasaki began the first set up 3-0 before closing the door at 6-1. In the second set, it began closer at 2-1 but Sasaki again finished out the set strong.
- The next singles match to go final saw Yulia Kapitanova add to the Bowling Green score with 6-1 and 6-3 finals. Kapitanova began both sets up 3-0. In the first she allowed the one point before surging to the 6-1 final. In the second, they two battled to the end, but the edge was enough for Kapitanova to secure the victory.
- Marharita-Sophia Tavpash picked up a win just moments after Kapitanova, seeing 6-1 and 6-2 finals. In both sets Tavpash battled back from 1-0 deficits to quickly regain the lead. In the first set she scored six straight points to win and the second set wasn't much different with the 6-2 final.
