Falcons Move Up Leaderboard On Final Day Of Missouri Tiger Intercollegiate

Final Results
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Bowling Green State University men's golf team carded its best round of the tournament on Tuesday at the Missouri Tiger Intercollegiate. The Falcons posted a team score of 291 on the day to surpass Drake and pull even with South Dakota. BGSU finished tied for 12th at the 54-hole event, which was hosted by Missouri at The Club at Old Hawthorne. The hosts won the event.
Bowling Green's 291 on Tuesday was lower than five other schools in round three, including Wichita State's 293. Wichita State finished tied for fourth at the tournament. BGSU was led by Nick Hofland. Hofland finished T-29 by finishing –1, posting rounds of 71-75-74.
Hofland's round-one 71 equaled Bowling Green's low round over the two-day tournament. Tom North finished T-36 by matching Hofland's round-one total on Tuesday. North played the final 10 holes of the tournament at four-under to wrap up his strong round-three 71.
Dylan Fitchet (T-53) and Ian Mackenzie-Olson (T-55) contributed for the Orange and Brown. The pair of Falcons each registered a round-one 76 before finishing their weeks solidly. Fitchet's round-three 72 was his low score on the week, while Mackenzie-Olson posted rounds of 76-78-74. Roni Shin carded three birdies in an opening-round 78 for the Orange and Brown.
The Falcons will be back in action quickly. Bowling Green is scheduled to compete in the Dayton Flyer Invitational in Kettering, Ohio over April 12-13. Bowling Green will then head to the Rutherford Intercollegiate (State College, Pa.) from April 17-18 before the MAC Championships take place in Fort Wayne, Indiana across April 30 – May 1.
