Defending MAC Champions are slated to play four home games prior to conference play
Four home games – and the return of fans to the Stroh Center – highlight the Bowling Green State University women's basketball team's non-conference schedule for 2021-22. Head coach Robyn Fralick and the defending Mid-American Conference champions are scheduled to begin the regular season with a pair of home games in mid-November.
BGSU's non-league slate also includes a trip to Columbus to face Ohio State, as well as tournaments in Annapolis, Md., and Las Vegas.
"We are so excited about the challenges of our non-conference schedule," said Fralick, the 2020-21 MAC Coach of the Year. "The MAC is so challenging that we know how important our non-conference schedule is to prepare us for league play. We are excited to play in some very good tournaments, too."
The season begins on Thursday, Nov. 11, when East Tennessee State comes to the Stroh, and the Orange and Brown will host IUPUI three days later (Nov. 14).
Then, on Nov. 17, the Falcons will venture to the state capital to take on the Buckeyes, in the first road game of the '21-22 season. The month of November concludes with a pair of games in Navy's Thanksgiving tournament in Annapolis (Nov. 27-28), with the opponents to be determined.
The Falcons begin December with home games on back-to-back Sundays. BG faces Valparaiso (Dec. 5) and Notre Dame College (Nov. 12) at the Stroh.
BGSU will wrap up the non-league slate with a trip to Las Vegas just before Christmas. The Falcons will face Campbell (Dec. 20) and UT-Martin (Dec. 21) in the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic, before opening MAC play.
The conference schedule will be announced in early September. The most up-to-date BGSU women's basketball schedule can always be found by CLICKING HERE.
