Platts Pulls in Pool Records to Start Weekend in Loss at Marshall

HUNTINGTON, West Virginia – The Bowling Green State University swim and dive team traveled to Marshall today resulting in a 195-104 loss. The Thundering Herd swam to an early win and never relinquished the lead.
Senior Daisy Platts hunted down a few more pool records in Huntington, West Virginia. Platts will be coming home with wins and both the 100 and 200 backstroke records for the Frederick A. Fitch Natatorium with times of 54.68 and 1:58.82.
Diver Grace Ellis dove head first into a strong outing with her first win of the spring season in the 1-Meter dive and a third place in the 3-meter. Teammate Zoe Smith continues to be a model of consistency with two more top 10 finishes in both the 1- and 3-Meter dives with a second-place finish in the 3-Meter.
The high point of the day for the Falcons was a full sweep of the podium in the 200-yard Individual Medley with Daisy Platts winning and Ava Vial and Lily Kaiser taking second and third.
