Falcons Continue Spring Season With Dual At Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Bowling Green State University tennis program will continue non-conference competition with a dual against Purdue University. The Falcons and Boilermakers will take to the courts on Saturday, Jan. 29, with first serve slated for 12:00 p.m. All matches will be held at the Schwartz Tennis Center in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Opponent Outlook
Purdue has a 3-0 record in duals this season, with all three victories coming on their home courts. The Boilermakers have defeated Cincinnati, IUPUI, and Xavier. Csilla Fodor and Tara Milic have won all three of their doubles matches, with each player earning a 3-0 record in singles play. Their match with BGSU is Purdue's first of the weekend, with a dual against Saint Louis scheduled for the following afternoon (Jan. 30).

Attendance Guidelines
Admission to the Schwartz Tennis Center is free. Parking is available in the lots surrounding the complex. Face masks are required in all indoor spaces for everyone on the Purdue University campus, regardless of vaccination status.

- Bowling Green opened the spring season at Notre Dame, falling to the Fighting Irish, 7-0.
- Seven Falcons participated in the dual against UND.
- Annika Vetter enters the weekend leading the team in singles wins (7) and doubles wins (6).
- Vetter is 3-0 in doubles when paired with Hannah Neuman or Ioanna Tsadari.
- This will be BGSU's first time competing in West Lafayette since the 2019 Purdue Invitational. Ioanna Tsadari finished third in singles in the Boiler Up Bracket. Laura Maia Silveira won the consolation singles title of the Schwartz Bracket and the consolation doubles title of the Purdue Bracket.
