Falcons Set For Fall Finale At Toledo’s Rocket Invite

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons are slated to conclude their fall season with a trip up I-75 for the Rocket Invite. Hosted by the University of Toledo at Twos Athletic Club, the Falcons will compete on Oct. 28-29, with each day of competition starting at 9 a.m. ET. BGSU will compete in hidden duals against Toledo, Cleveland State, and Youngstown State. The hidden duals will be categorized into Blue Singles (players 1-3), Gold Singles (players 4-6), and doubles (three pairs).

Breaking Down Bowling Green
The Falcons have combined for a 22-20 record in the fall season, with a 14-7 mark in singles play and 8-13 mark in doubles. Eloise Saraty (4-1) and Lucy Furness (4-2) share the team lead in singles wins, with Maru Poppe holding a 3-0 singles record after winning the 'D' Flight at the Spartan Invite. Ioanna Tsadari has a 2-2 singles record this season but advanced to the Singles Main Draw Round of 32 at the ITA Midwest Regionals. She and Hannah Neuman have paired for two doubles matches, splitting them.
Coach Bonnell's Outlook
"Our last competition of the fall takes us to Toledo to match up with some opponents that we are becoming pretty familiar with. They have been at the same invites we have been at but now we get to square off in a format that will be similar to how we compete in the spring. It should be a great weekend of competitive matches."
